Think about the features that come with the various vacuum cleaners because some of these are great for giving you extra cleaning power.  Extra long hose attachments are perfect for cleaning the stairs and there are a number of powerful brushes that might also be available.

You do not always have to choose the well known brand.  Some of these vacuum cleaners can be pretty expensive when they are not much better than other less well known brands.  If you are considering a brand that you have not heard much about then you need to make sure you read some reviews to get a good idea of what others think about these products.

It is important that you are getting value for money.  Try to find a good vacuum cleaner that is reliable and will offer good performance.
